BSI Nominated as Best Hotel Booking Agency for Business

    30 October 2008

Local company recognised by business travel industry

BSI, the parent company of Nottingham-based IR (International Reservations), has been nominated by leading professionals in the business travel industry, in the ‘Best Hotel Booking Agency for Business’ category of the Buying Business Travel Diamond Awards, which take place later this year.
The nomination comes just a few months after BSI was awarded ‘Agency of the Year’ by Intercontinental Hotel Group and weeks after an award from Principal Hayley Hotel Group at an inaugural Awards ceremony.  A judging panel, made up of the industry’s top business travel buyers, journalists and writers, short-listed BSI following its incredible year of growth, change and success in the last 12 months.
BSI has significantly bolstered the business with a series of new client wins over the last year, including The Learning and Skills Network (LSN), The Events Industry Alliance (EIA) and Halton Borough Council (as part of the National Police Business Travel Framework Agreement).  All of this has led to BSI strengthening its sales and marketing and national account teams with new appointments.
As part of group wide rebranding BSI launched a redesigned suite of websites along with a series of new publications, including Industry Eye white papers, industry guides called The Brief, and quarterly e-zine, The Hive.
BSI has also made continuous improvements to its online self-booking tool BSIDirect and in a bid to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint by joining forces with CarePar.
BSI’s Group Managing Director, Trevor Elswood, commented:  “It is an absolute privilege to have been nominated by such a prestigious panel of judges and we look forward to the winner being announced at the awards ceremony in December.”
This year’s Buying Business Travel Diamond Awards and Christmas Ball, will be held at London's exclusive Hurlingham Club on Thursday 4th December when the winners will be unveiled.
Readers of Buying Business Travel magazine, travel buyers, arrangers, agents and suppliers now have until 15th November 2008 to vote, taking into consideration customer service, value for money, service delivery, personality and reliability.
